Fees and Discounts
This page presents the fees and discounts for each day of training including our fees associated with courses leading to a BCS qualification (i.e. the Foundation level courses in DP and CISMP and our “standard” or “intensive” Practitioner courses in DP/FOI).
The page also highlights the discounts for NADPO members, for Data Protection Forum members and for Charities, hospices etc. If you are seeking more than one qualification, the additional savings can be obtained via our IG Passport. In this regard Amberhawk is one of NADPO's recommended providers of training in Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
Fees: Training days
The fee for a single public day training course is £350+VAT. However, we apply a discount for multiple day bookings; a booking of two delegate training days attracts a 5% discount (e.g. 2x£350 = £700; minus 5%); three days (10%), four days (15%) up to a maximum of 20% discount for a booking of 5 or more day courses.
Fees: CISMP (BCS Foundation Qualification)
The total cost of the Foundation course in Information Security Management Principles (CISMP) is £1,795 plus VAT per delegate; this covers the 5.5 day training course, mock exams and BCS exam fee of £145.
Fees: Data Protection (BCS Foundation Qualification)
The total cost of the Foundation course in Data Protection is £1,090 plus VAT per delegate; this covers 3 days of training (£945 including 10% discount on training costs and the mock exam) and the BCS exam fee of £145.

Fees: comparison with other training providers:
Our courses leading to the BCS/ISEB qualification differ fundamentally from other course providers. For full details follow this link.
Discounts: Information Governance Passport
Amberhawk’s IG Passport offers further discounted rates on our course fees when more than one qualification course (Practitioner or Foundation) is booked. Once you have an IG Passport you can use it for any public Amberhawk Training course, for any delegate, from any organisation and at any time.
Discounts for charities, hospices etc
Charities, housing associations, hospices or voluntary/community groups can apply for the Shelagh Gaskill Bursary. Please look at the Bursary pages of our web-site and complete the booking form on the “Brochures” part of the web-site. The discount is worth up to £600.
Discounts for NADPO or Data Protection Forum
We are also delighted to feature NADPO and the Data Protection Forum as organisations we have long been associated with and which we recommend. Indeed Amberhawk provide speakers for their events and we attend on a regular basis. The discount on offer is equivalent to a year’s free subscription to either of these bodies.
The discount is worth £150 if you book any BCS/ISEB course.. The automated booking system will deduct the discount. If you book one of our on-site courses, there is a discount of £100 per day off our fees.
Both these bodies are professional organisations that represent people working in the field of data protection and freedom of information. Often working in the field of data protection and FOI means ploughing a lonely furrow; attendance at NADPO or Forum functions allows you to keep up to date on current issues, discuss problems with fellow professionals in the field, and network with other people in like-minded organisations. If you are not a member, we strongly advise that you take this opportunity to enrol as we are essentially providing a “cost free” trial for half a year.
If you are not a member, you can still claim the discount if you promise to join either NADPO or the Data Protection Forum within a week of booking the course.
