Amberhawk Training Limited is a company founded in 2008 by Dr Chris Pounder and Sue Cullen as the vehicle for the continuation of the information law training business previously operated by Pinsent Masons LLP (and Masons from 1999).

Amberhawk is proud of its reputation and track record for providing high quality, interactive and detailed information law training for data protection and FOI practitioners. The reason for this satisfaction is that Chris and Sue have more than 60 years experience in data protection and FOI as practitioners, and both are highly experienced trainers, accredited by BCS.

Prior to Amberhawk, both worked for international law firm Pinsent Masons for nine years and seven years respectively as specialists in information law and members of the top-rated team led by Rosemary Jay and the late Shelagh Gaskill.

Both Chris and Sue regularly speak and write on information law topics. Sue has the epic Sweet and Maxwell encyclopaedia on FOI to her credit and has always practised as a solicitor. Chris, with a science and IT background, was an early pioneer in data protection, even prior to the DPA1984 and author of the well known Hawktalk blog. This explains why Amberhawk can offer regular updates in information law topics.
