Changes to the UK_GDPR

The Government were intending to implement significant reform to the UK_GDPR and DPA2018 through its Data Protection and Digital Information Bill.

This Bill has failed to complete its Parliamentary stages following the dissolution of Parliament for the General Election in July 2024. Any further data protection reform is now dependent on the legislative priorities of the next Government. Hence the decision to suspend this day session on the proposed changes to DP law in the UK.

 This suspension also means the UK_GDPR and DPA2018 are unamended and the relevant training courses in UK data protection law are our Foundation and Practitioner Courses as described elsewhere on this website.
