The Government has reformed the UK_GDPR and DPA2018 through its Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
The day workshop, delivered by Zoom, alerts data protection practitioners to the major changes to the UK_GDPR/DPA2018/PECR regime arising from the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. Content includes: processing for Recognised Legitimate Interests and ensuring further processing is compatible; disclosures in the public interest to public bodies; changes to subject access procedures and Privacy Notices; changes to the right not to be subject to profiling or automated decision taking; changes to PECR that relate to marketing; how to use the changes when processing personal data for research purposes (which includes some AI training and AI development); how the DUAA impacts on any AI project; changes to the transfer regime when personal data are processed outside the UK; changes to the Information Commissioner’s office; and the risks to the UK’s adequacy agreement with the European Union.
We have a new date of Thursday 22nd January 2026; the fee will be £275 +VAT per delegate for the day.
